BENEVOLENT FUND. Injured? Hampshire FA's Benevolent Fund Can Help. There comes a time in everyone's life when a little extra cash would be most welcome and the Benevolent Fund is a source of help at these difficult times. Thanks to the generosity of our members, grants are available to Players, Coaches, Club Officials and Referees who find themselves in urgent need following injury. All donations are gratefully received whatever the amount and please forward any donations to the Finance Director at the County Office. Please follow the procedure below to make an application to the Benevolent Fund; 1. The Club Secretary, having ascertained the player/official is, or may be suffering financial hardship through the injury, should apply to the Association or the Benevolent Officer for an application form. 2. The application form must be cpmpleted by the player/official and endorsed by the Secretary of the Club. All information asked for must be given. Care must be exercised in the matter of player's income when in employment and the aamounts received while incapacitated, from all sources. A doctors certificate clearly stating the nature of the injury and probable period of incapacitation must accompany each application. The Trustees of the Fund reserve the right to make any necessary enquiry concerning an application. Completed application forms should be returned to the County Office or the Area Benevolent Fund Officer (below). 3. Every application is promptly considered by the Trustees, in strict confidence, and grants are made where necessary, to assist applicants during periods of incapacitation.
